Gas cooker installation process

During installation, your gas cooker installer will disconnect your old gas cooker and fit a new bayonet and gas hose. The gas cooker installer may also fit a chain or a stability bracket to prevent the gas appliance from tilting. Next, the cooker installer will position the new gas cooker and test the appliance for any gas leaks to ensure its safe operation. Upon completion the gas cooker installer will always provide you with a copy of a Gas Safety Certificate. They will:

• Remove the old gas cooker
• Adjust pipework if needed
• Fit a new bayonet
• Fit a new gas hose
• Fit a stability bracket or chain
• Position the new gas cooker
• Test the gas cooker for any gas leaks
• Test appliance safe operation
• Provide a Gas Safety Certificate
